Absolutely Stunning: Stu Dugan

It takes a great photographer to capture the essence of a model and have it translate on paper. It also takes a stunning model to allow that photographer to create a story and translate his or her message to the photo. Stu Dugan is one of those models that with just a look, or a glance, can say so much. Just stare into Stu's eyes and you'll see what I mean. Stu has incredible features, that make his work absolutely stunning, as per the title of this post :p Some of my favorite photographers have worked with Stu including the always super talented Simon Le. Stu also has a killer body, toned and muscle in all the right places of course. Over the course of his career he has pulled off many different looks, which is quite incredible. From the soulful captivating boy with the gleaming eyes, to the rugged all-American jock with the rippling chiseled body like the boy next door, Stu seems to have captured them beautifully. Chow Yun-Fat (Chinese: 周潤發; Hanyu Pinyin: Zhōu Rùnfā) (born May 18, 1955 on Lamma Island, Hong Kong) is a Chinese actor. He is among a handful of internationally recognized screen actors that Hong Kong has produced, along with Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, and others. A charismatic actor, he has been likened to a grittier, more intense version of Cary Grant.
It didn’t take long for Chow to become a household name in Hong Kong following his role in the hit series The Bund (Chinese: 上海灘; Hanyu Pinyin: Shang Hai tan) in 1983.
Although Chow continued his TV success, his ultimate goal was to become a big screen actor. However, his occasional ventures onto the big screens with low-budget movies were disastrous. Success finally came when he teamed up with a then relatively unknown director John Woo in the 1986 gangster action-melodrama A Better Tomorrow, which swept the box offices in parts of Asia and established both Chow and Woo as megastars. Taking the opportunity, Chow quit TV entirely. With his new image from Better Tomorrow, he made many more ‘gun fu’ or ‘heroic bloodshed’ movies, especially those directed by Woo, such as The Killer (1989) and Hard Boiled (1992).
Chow may be best known, especially in the West, for playing honorable tough guys, whether cops or criminals, but he is a versatile performer. He has starred in comedies like Diary of a Big Man (1988) and Now You See Love… Now You Don’t (1992) or romantic films such as Love in a Fallen City (1984) and An Autumn’s Tale (1987). He brought together his disparate personas in the 1989 film God of Gamblers (Du shen), directed by the prolific Wong Jing, in which he was by turns suave charmer, broad comedian and action hero. The film surprised many and turned out immensly popular, broke Hong Kong’s all-time box office record, and spawned a series of gambling movies, as well as several more comic sequels starring Stephen Chow.
Being one of the hottest screen commodities in Hong Kong, Chow moved to Hollywood in the mid-’90s in an attempt to duplicate his success on an international scale. His first two films Replacement Killers (1998) and The Corruptor (1999) were box-office disappointments. His next film Anna and the King (1999) did better, but the success was mostly credited to actress Jodie Foster. He returned to Asia for the (2000) film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon , and it became a winner at both the box office and the Oscars.
Chow is still waiting for the type of success he once enjoyed in Hong Kong. He once admitted to a Hong Kong reporter that his ultimate goal is to win an Oscar as an actor. When asked what if it never comes true, he replied “I would just have to laugh about it…”

“King and the Clown” brought the talents of a new actor to light. Lee Joon-ki!! His adept character portrayal has started a new trend of “feminine masculinity”~ As the favored dark horse bound for complete stardom in 2006, we decided to pay super-rookie Lee Joon-ki a visit.
Our STAR FOCUS cameras caught up with him at an ad layout shoot. In order to take full advantage of his “neutral gender” image, a famous Japanese make-up artist was flown into Korea.
These days, any clothes, accessories, or jewelry that Lee Joon-ki dons turns into an instant icon. He takes 2005’s male pop term, “metro-sexual,” and steps it up with “cross-sexual.”
In “King and the Clown”, he played Gong-gil, a clown who was part of the lowest-ranked class during Korea’s Chosun Dynasty. Lee Joon-ki took that role and impressed the entire Korean peninsula.
They passed the 10-million viewer mark last week, putting them in third place for the most-watched film in Korean history. Lee Joon-ki obtained top-tier status after an amazing performance in the film. He was duly awarded with “Best Supporting Actor,” at this year’s Max Movie Awards.
Movie star Lee Joon-ki is also making an impression in television. He plays a flirtatious romantic in the TV drama, “My Girl”. Lee’s character is Seo Jung-woo, flirty but searching for true love. It’s a different charm of his that appeals to audiences in this role, one that is more masculine than his “Gong-gil” character. Which is more similar to the REAL Lee Joon-ki?
Not a COMPLETE rookie in the biz, Lee has had experience working in other productions. In 2002, “The Hotel Venus”, was the first Japanese film to be shot in Korean. His rebellious character was actually Lee’s debut role. And though it didn’t do too well in Korea, his acting left a strong impression. Then he showed up in the film, “Flying Boys”, as a cheerful high-school student. It was a small role, but added to his repertoire. ?
After he became a household name with “King and the Clown”, people started looking up all his past work. Fans doted on his adorable part in Clazziquai’s “Sweety” music video in 2004.
And he was also cast in Lee Soo-young’s “Grace” music video, from her latest seventh album. Lee portrays the frailty in love. He’s been shoved into the limelight and slowly has begun to adjust.
From a soft image to aggressive. He has a natural morphing ability, giving him an edge in modeling. The actor in him fulfills the exact wants of his photographer. And is a delight to watch!
Lee Joon-ki takes a large burden on his shoulders, as audiences look to seeing more of his exceptional talent in 2006. And he hopes he won’t let anyone down! We’ve got faith, how ’bout you!!
