A trend-setting watch and jewelry retailer in Boca Raton for more than 50 years, Altier Jewelers recently unveiled a completely overhauled store featuring an open, social and elegant environment. The cases have been pushed back and the floor space has been doubled, bringing everyone together in a new format. There is now an in-store bar, stocked with top shelf liquors and dressed in hand-selected onyx, further serving to transform the store to more of a venue for socializing and events. Altier Jewelers is already planning to launch an annual watch fair and features its own Patek Philippe shop-in-shop boutique.
"We wanted to create a more intimate experience and do away with the barriers that are typically between staff and the customers," says Cutler Altier, President and CEO of Altier Jewelers. "Not only does this bring the conversation more shoulder-to-shoulder, but I believe it better reflects this day and age where buyers come in informed and want to have an even discussion, not a tired, one-way consultation."
Despite a struggling economy, Altier Jewelers' business has continued to grow, with more customers interested in investing in high-end pieces for their sustainable value. The renovation was custom designed and built from the ground up.
In keeping with this momentum, the jeweler also recently announced a strategic partnership with industry veteran Bobby Yampolsky to build out the store's jewelry portfolio and further develop new business opportunities.
"This is an extremely exciting time," says Altier. "This is my family's legacy. Fifty-two years ago, my grandfather founded this business and ran it together with my grandmother. My father later ran the store for more than 15 years until he passed away. My family has always lived through this store. By evolving and investing in this business, we hope the tradition will continue and that it will stay in the family for another 52 years."
A grand opening reception will invite customers and friends to celebrate and experience the new luxury at Altier Jewelers, tentatively scheduled for February 16, 2012.
