Now A La Mále isn't going to be featuring an exhaustive round-up of the menswear shows - instead we'll just do a quick round-up of Milan and then again of Paris next week when the shows are over. However we did firstly want to share with you the details of the A/W 12 collection from Diesel Black Gold as it was their début show at Milan yesterday and therefore something very special for the brand. Diesel is a keen favourite for their edgy aesthetic and for this season it was all about channelling the rock'n'roll lifestyle.
Biker jackets, fur coats and sharp suits summed it all up with a touch ofmilitary construction and an overall vintage feel. The colour palette [as featured in the above looks] is generally dark but with just the slightest hint of glam-rock that was especially seen in other looks featuring brilliant red and patent orange. For a first in Milan it was certainly a great achievement with the theme rooted throughout and a guitar solo performance to close the show - going out in style of course.
Notable front row attendees included actors Stephen Dorff and Luke Evans [pictured above] who, naturally, were dressed head to toe in Diesel Black Gold. However let's not forget that the stars of the show are and always will be the models themselves so be sure to check out the full show video embedded above where you can really get a feel for what the brand are about. Granted it might be a bit confusing that the menswear collections are shown so far in advance of their retail release - we can't say it's not exciting to see what's in store for us . . .
