MODEL| DOING D.O.

LAST TIME WE WENT TO NW YORK WE MANAGED TO MEET A VARIETY OF INTERESTING PEOPLE AND DO JUST AS MANY INTERESTING THINGS WITH THESE PEOPLE. DIONISIO HEIDERSHEID FOR EXAMPLE, WHO JOINED US WHEN WE HAD DINNER WITH JOE OPPEDISANO. AND THAT MEETING LEAD TO SOMETHING VERY DIFFERENT.

As often is the case, dinner in a restaurant isn't always the most ideal place to have a good conversation. Specially when it concerns one of the more popular places in West Village, crowed with people. So even though we met D.O. there, is wasn't before we had after dinner drinks at Joe Oppedisano's apartment that we had a real talk with the sexy Argentine model. This is where the idea of an interview started to shape, and this is also where we learned more about D.O's book project.

The Different Sides of D.O. is a book that combines a large variety of photographers that Dionisio worked with, specially for this publication. The result is a stunning collection of portraits, a diversity of how all these creative people see D.O. and work with him. Since the work was still in progress, and D.O. was still in New York for shootings, we immediately called our friend Thomas Synnamon to see if he would be interested in 'doing' the Black Scorpion lead man. That he was and one thing lead to another. D.O. and Thomas met, connected well and decided to work on a series for the book together.

We have known Thomas Synnamon for quite some time now, and have come to know him as a man with a great talent and original creative vision when it comes to shoot photos. The many articles we dedicated to him and his work are living proof of this. So when we introduced D.O. to Tom, we had not doubt what so ever that if the two would decide to work together, the work would be stunning. And we weren't disappointed. "It was a pleasure to work with D.O.,"remembers Thomas. "He was so excited to do a shoot and was totally into trying something new. So when I asked him to put on a fabric that looks like a dress, he didn't think it was weird and he really got into the caricature of it. I love it when a model is open for unusual and new things and to try it out, even with the risk of giving him a different look. D.O. really is a great guy and when you meet him you feel you have known him for years already."

D.O. is a man of great sensibility and charisma, beautiful to see, fun to be with and serious to talk and work with. Asking D.O. about his experience working with Thomas he says: "Thomas is a fantastic photographer. It was a beautiful experience meeting him and I instantly decided I wanted to work with him for my book project. While doing so e started to brainstorm on some other ideas we could work on together. One would be an exclusive series for BeautifulMag and we have something else in mind that I might want to include in The Different Sides of D.O." If you know D.O. from his Black Scorpion movie projects, you also know D.O. is the kind of person who doesn't go for doing things the conventional way. Always searching to do something with a bit more depth, a bit more different, we have high expectation of his upcoming book.

There only seems to be one logical conclusion to this story. As mentioned before, when we started this edition, we are living in a time when traveling over the world has become much more accessible. We are from Paris, Thomas from New Jersey and D.O. from Buenos Aires. The place we met was New York. It was well met and it was well done. –B-
